How many hours per week do pediatric neurosurgeons work?

44 hours, 12 minutes and 17 seconds. Give or take 1 second. No, actually nobody can answer that question precisely. Neurosurgery can be grueling at times, and highly variable. One surgery might be completed in 1 hour, and the next surgery might take 24 hours straight. No way to know in advance what's coming in at 8 AM tomorrow morning. Doctors are professionals. They put in however many hours required to take care of their patients. Whatever it takes. They don't punch time clocks.
