You should not be in gym. So concussions can take over 2 years so heal. Just hang in there. The reason you do not want to do gym is because you do no want to take a chance with Second Impact Syndrom. This is when you get another concussion before the other one is healed. Because there is already swelling in the brain there is no room for more. Not to scare you but this can result in perment damage or even death.

Pregnant cat wont stop over grooming.?

I found a stray cat about 12 weeks ago, which we thought was pregnant, she hasnt had them yet as the vet said she had 3 weeks left of her pregnancy, 4 weeks have since passed, and no kittens! The problem is she is over grooming herself constantly! which is making her skin sore, and scabby. Are there any treatments i can buy to help this? She going back to the vet next week but i would like to try help stop the over grooming before this as her skin looks awful, she also pulling her hair out which i no is normal for a pregnant cat?

The reason for the better knowledge is because of the higher population in earlier years. Now that higher populations of ofther Asians is increasing in the US the intrest in all Asian types is riseing. It should matter little what type of Asain a person is. My puppy is sick and I don't know what to do.?

My puppy is three months old. He's been sick for five days now and he's gotten worse. My mom took him to the vet but all he did is he gave my mom some shots for her to treat him. Navel piercing problems?

I have had my navel pierced for about 9 weeks, and for awhile it was doing very well. No irritation or redness. Yesterday, I changed my jewelry as I have done several times before without problems. When I slid the jewelry in, it came out with a thin piece of skin wrapped around it, i pulled the skin off, not really thinking anything of it as it had happened before. I took the jewelry back out and cleaned it a little more with salt water and pressed up on it to make sure anything inside was out. Hi! I was just wondering what my chances were of getting into one of the service academies, New London and Annapolis in particular. As for academics, I have a 4.18 GPA and got a 219 on my PSAT this past year (I'm going to be a junior in the fall). I'm on the distinguished honor roll at my school and also am in the National Spanish Honor Society, the National Science Honor Society, and hopefully NHS next year. I don't know what to do anymore..my 2 year old daughter suffers from hives? Its long, but PLEASE read.?

She has had hives for a little over a couple months nearly everyday. At first, I took her to urgent care because they were huge welts the size of breadsticks and I wasn't used to them so they scared me. Well I've been giving her antihistamine nearly everyday since to relieve her from the hives. We were told we had to wait 6 weeks before getting referred to a pediatric allergist because hives can be from a virus. Well, that is ruled out now, we went to the pediatric allergist on monday (which was an hour away, and the appointment lasted 3 hours...with a 2 year old during naptime-they schedule it for you because hes booked out and the only pediatric allergist within an hour and in our HMO provider list.) They did allergy testing for the top 13 food allergies common at her age and then also dust mites...she was allergic to NOTHING. Which I have a hard time believing, because ice cream and veggie dip makes her break out in hives badly, so does other things, but those are things we have noticed. The allergist told us to give her an antihistamine everyday for two months (we do anyways, and then for one month give as needed (WE DO ANYWAYS.) And then come back to see him in 3 months. Instead, I think I would rather drive as far as I have to and get a second opinion. I am so upset that she has horrible hives and there is no explanation. He also said we might have to get referred to a pediatric rheumatologist I think he called it because she could have an underlying autoimmune disorder, but he also said that should have been diagnosed already if she would have one. Also, her immune system could just be too immature to be picking up an allergy. I am just at a loss as to what to do. Please help in anyway you can. Refer me to any information, any experience. This is exhausting physically and emotionally. There is obviously something wrong.

I have a rash on my back/spine (about the size of a 50 cent piece)?

So I went to the docs and she said I have shingles (she got another doc to check and he said shingles straight away). But I wanted a second option so I went to another doc and he said it was a cold sore (I thought cold sore only appeared on the face???) The rash burns - actually my whole back feels Itchy/burning, the rash has little white dots and is raised and red. Does anyone know the difference between the two? Mom's are always hard to deal with, especially when it comes to her grands. There is a point where she has to realize that this isn't her baby, it's yours, and you need to let her know that. Tell her exactly how you feel. Let her know that you love her, and truly want her to be a part of yours and your babies life, but right now, she's upsetting you and you don't want to end up with a bad relationship with her. Let her know that you understand that she's just trying to help, but every Mother is entitled to raising their children the way they choose. As long as it is a safe and good environment for the baby, then you're mother should be supportive in any decision you make for your child. Let her know it isn't personal, that it's just hard making decisions for your child when she's criticizing you. You're doing the best you can do. It's not easy for anyone to tell their mother to chill out a little, but there comes a point where you can only take so much. You're an adult, and you're about a raise a child, and you have to make your own decisions, and she should understand that.

I have difficulty finding PAs when i search online and do not really want to drive all over town trying to find where they work. you have a good shot. i got into berkeley, emory, tufts, bc, gw, georgetown... with not as impressive stats..... write a kick *** essay and rock your interviews. then hope they are in a good mood while they are reviewing your app! sometimes i think its more luck than substance (unfortunately since some rejections seem quite arbitrary).

Is it bad that i use my imagination as an escape?

Ok, I can distinguish between fiction and reality. I have a pretty good social life, i have friends and do talk to them, but i sometimes i go into my own world. Sometimes I think of a movie or book and in my mind i change into how i want it to happen, or i even imagine outcomes of events that happen to me. I feel safer when i imagine things, maybe its because i have a slight trust issue and can't trust people easily and even if i do trust them i still find it hard to fully trust in them. But when im imagining outcomes and stuff i feel i dont need to worry as much. Is it bad that i use my imagination as an escape?

Upper lower back molar was extracted about 2 months ago and the last couple days I have been working hard. Well, after I was all done working for almost 13hours I noticed where my tooth was removed it was raised.. like a half tooth sized sore. After an hour or so I swished some cold water around in my mouth and it seems to get worse and worse feeling like its about to pop. I was feeling with with my tongue when all of a sudden it felt like it came off my extraction site! I quickly used my tongue to move this thing out of my mouth and spat it onto my hand. It is white/yellow with 2-3 little black dots (maybe food) and smells horrible. It's no bigger then an eye drop mind you. After that I examined it and realized it was shell-like, and then washed it away. But now the sore feels like its swelling again. What is this? I haven't had one problem with this extraction site and took very good care of it post removal up until a month ago where I went back to normal eating habits and working habits. Not until today has it changed. Thoughts?

I don't know what to do anymore..my 2 year old daughter suffers from hives? Its long, but PLEASE read.?

She has had hives for a little over a couple months nearly everyday. At first, I took her to urgent care because they were huge welts the size of breadsticks and I wasn't used to them so they scared me. Well I've been giving her antihistamine nearly everyday since to relieve her from the hives. We were told we had to wait 6 weeks before getting referred to a pediatric allergist because hives can be from a virus. Well, that is ruled out now, we went to the pediatric allergist on monday (which was an hour away, and the appointment lasted 3 hours...with a 2 year old during naptime-they schedule it for you because hes booked out and the only pediatric allergist within an hour and in our HMO provider list.) They did allergy testing for the top 13 food allergies common at her age and then also dust mites...she was allergic to NOTHING. Which I have a hard time believing, because ice cream and veggie dip makes her break out in hives badly, so does other things, but those are things we have noticed. The allergist told us to give her an antihistamine everyday for two months (we do anyways, and then for one month give as needed (WE DO ANYWAYS.) And then come back to see him in 3 months. Instead, I think I would rather drive as far as I have to and get a second opinion. I am so upset that she has horrible hives and there is no explanation. He also said we might have to get referred to a pediatric rheumatologist I think he called it because she could have an underlying autoimmune disorder, but he also said that should have been diagnosed already if she would have one. Also, her immune system could just be too immature to be picking up an allergy. I am just at a loss as to what to do. Please help in anyway you can. Refer me to any information, any experience. This is exhausting physically and emotionally. There is obviously something wrong.

Woman, nipple/breast/chest pain in pregnancy, all experiances please?

Okay so between may 16th - 24th me & my bf had unprotected sex about 8 times, and i am noy trying to be pregnant, but we wernt thinking at the time, i think i may have got pregnant from the 21st, i WAS ovalating and we had sex twice that day, and he came alot in me, and it lasted about 45 minutes. But took a test on june 7th, around 2 weeks later, too soon probably, but it came neg so i got the depo shot, but i felt bad cause idk if it would show up in 2 weeks, today about a month or so later, my breast hurts kind of in between, maybe heartburn.? And my nipples are sensitive and sore feeling, they are a dark pink purple color and i cabt stand wearing any bras but it hurts to not wear one too, is there still a chance of pregnancy.? Other than breast, i wake up kind of nausuas and lightheaded, and ive had mood swings more emotional, oh and theres like dark vains on my nipples but there light on my boobs.. Tooth and gum pain, heavy gum bleeding HELP?

Today I woke up fine, then after a couple hours my tooth started getting really sore, especially when I bit down with it. I hadn't eaten anything yet so nothing was stuck in the gum area. I decided that I might floss to see what the issue was. My gum around the tooth started bleeding TERRIBLY, like a full stream of blood that lasted maybe 5 seconds. I have great oral health. I brush twice a day AND floss AND use mouth wash. I also was just at the dentist 4 weeks ago and they said my teeth were perfect. I rinsed with mouth wash and also rinsed with salt water. What is this, why is bleeding so much (not just some red or pink on the floss but a sudden stream), and what can I do to make it stop? My dentist's office is closed until Tuesday. Please help!

Also,the real SAT is way harder than the PSAT,so don't expect it to be super easy and get a 2200. You'll probably get about 100 points lower than your PSAT score.

Should I choose business or medicine?

I am having a little bit of a hard time deciding on what major to choose. I am an upcoming senior and yes I know I don't HAVE to have a decision made right now but I would like an idea of at least what area I should be going into. I make decent grades(all A's) and I'm ready to go ahead and send in early acceptance applications in September and I would like to have an idea of what I'll want to be doing before I turn those in. I am an extremely caring person and I love being able to walk around and be on my feet a lot during the day which are two reasons I figured medicine(more specifically Pediatric Physician's Assistant)would be a good choice for me. But both my parents are business people and my older sister is even now getting her masters in business so they have all made a very good influence on me in that area now too. I see how well provided we are as a family and I know how great my parents loveee their jobs and I just want that same happiness as well in the future. And I want to be sure I'm going to be able to afford all my expenses and all on my own (no man's money necessary llol) and I know PA's make good money also soooo.. Should I go to medical school?

Please if you have personal experience reply to this. I always wanted to be a doctor (mainly a pediatrician or a family physician), but my dream was sort of lost when I saw a kid have a seizure. I don't think i would have to deal with this in the field I would be in, but in Med school, don't you have to go through internships at emergency care centers and stuff? What would you do if this happend to you?

A couple of months ago i started to hear voices . I always seem to hear them as soon as I get in bed. I do not hear anything during the day. I'm wide awake, and stay awake trying to hear what's being said. It sounds like the TV is still on in the living room. These voices are low and I lay there trying to distinguish gender and strain my ears as to what is being said. You can tell if its a man or woman. One time while listening, it was a man and you could hear his different tones of voice as if he were speaking to a group of people. Another time it was a man and woman having some type of conversation. Another time the tone sounded like they may have been arguing. It's not scary to me, it fascinates me. I would just like to know what is being said and what/who is causing this. For the first time one night last week, I heard the voices of a man, woman and what sounded like a much older woman having a conversation and also for the first time I heard a whole sentence of what the man was saying. I should have written it down. Right now the only word I remember him saying was the word "history" or "historical." This happens on an average of 3-4 times a week.

I'm 15 and considering buying a 1937 Royal Portable Standard Vintage Typewriter. I think it would be an amazing experience to type on an antique typewriter like Tennessee Williams and Ernest Hemingway did. I can't stand staring at a glaring computer screen and I my fingers are sore after I've written more than two pages on paper, so I think a typewriter would be perfect for me. in a couple weeks my son is going to be having some dental work done, including caps on a couple of his front teeth. the dentist i took him to was very set on all of the caps being metal because they are "easier". i refused the metal ones for the front teeth and opted for porcelain face caps and he was trying to talk me out of it. i still have this feeling when he wakes up that he will have metal instead of the porcelain fronts. is there anything i can do to ensure that this does not happen? like maybe get something in writing before the surgery, also if it does happen, can i take legal action? this dentist is a bit pompous and is the only exclusively pediatric dentist in town

You would need nannies to take care of your kids unless there is a stay-at-home father. As a surgeon, you could afford to pay for either of those two options. But maybe not on a nurse's salary; it would depend on which kind of nursing you got in to (search online for average salaries of various types of nurses).

Whats going on with my period lol?

So, in May we had sex when I ovulated. My period came that month but it was wierd it stopped and started and was lighter and didn't bleed at night. About 2-3 days ago I put too much pressure on the left side of my ankle (you know where the bone sticks out) I kind of jumped when I done it and it's been really sore ever since. I have a little sore throat that was caused by drinking hot white regular milk which I don't normally do before going to bed. Why should I take her to a dentist now?

My daughter just turned 3 and the pediatrician recommended taking her to a pediatric dentist. He referred me to one and I think he just gets money from referring. I called to make an appt. and the said they would do x-rays. I'm really worried about the radiation. I was listening to public radio and they said that cancer is developed from a cumulative effect from x-rays sometimes. She is so little, and she doesn't act like she has a cavity. To me, this just seems like a cash cow for the dentist. I don't think I had a cleaning until I was like 8 years old. Why is this so necessary? Also, they said the cleaning would take 30-40 minutes and I really don't think a 3 year old will sit there that long for her teeth to be worked on. The teeth are going to fall out anyway. Am I being a bad mom by not taking her to the dentist right now. Honestly, I was hoping they could just look at her mouth for cavities. They said the only way they could tell was x-rays. You may think its a waste of time unless you like volunteering but trust me, all of it will all pay off. Work for it through highschool and it wont become a problem. read the book The Pact. its about 3 African American men who grew up in the ghetto and became Doctors. If they can do it anyone can. Also you can go to community college and get your gen eds done which will cost you like 6 grand for 2 years. Theres grants out there too. and If you have to pay off loans so what, you know how much Drs get paid? 12 years of college seems like a long time but the Drs who did that much school, they usually start at making 250,000 a year. Also I had cancer myself, I know what your families going through, I hope your cousin gets better. Do what I didnt do, Get that degree and have that dream! Swollen throat diagnosis?!?

So yesterday I noticed that in the morning, my throat seemed swollen a little bit, but it wasn't sore. It hurts when I swallow, but not like a sore throat hurting, like a pressure hurting. It got worse as the day went on, then this morning it was minor again. Now, in the afternoon, it's worse than yesterday, and when I turn my head it's almost as if my whole throat is closed! What is making my ear hurt?

On my right ear the anti helix/rook area hurts a lot. I don't have a piercing and never had one there so it's nothing to do with piercings. It feels sore and tender. When I press on it, it is very sore but if I press on my left ear there is no pain whatsoever. There is no bump or anything there and it isn't itchy at all just painful. I can't find anything about ears hurting without being related to piercings. Where is the pain coming from?

My friend is freaking out. Anyways this is the story. My friend has been dating her boyfriend for a little over a year now. She is now 17 years old and he is 20 years old. Her hand was fine today at school when I saw it but that is what she tells me. According to her, her father has hit her by punching her in the past or whatever because she has done something wrong. This could be the reasons why she has done things like cut herself, or she has attempted sucicide when she was younger. But then again, I do know she has lied to me about somethings so it is hard sometimes to distinguish from the truth or a lie if her dad has done everything to her. However, there must be some truth because there is no reason for her to make those things up.) Anyways, since her father wants to put a restraining order on her boyfriend, does he have anything he can use towards the restraining order? I don't think it is possible for her boyfriend to get a restraining order for calling the cops on her dad. Also, she does have sex with him but I have heard that it is perfectly legal for them to have sex because she is 17 and he is 20. It also isnt possible for her father to put a restraining over on her boyfriend because she is a minor living under the parent's roof, am I correct? I am trying to reassure her that her dad will in fact lose the case

I Have a Boxer puppy ,male the problem with him is that he won't eat. All he does is drink water when he throws up its water plus this white foamy substance. i was 14 when i started volunteering at the hospital (it was called candystriping because we wore red and white striped vests, lol). they didn't allow us into pediactrics or the psychiactric ward, because those areas were a lot stricter. you may even find the psych ward is way too much to handle just yet. occasionally a nurse took us up to the nursery to have a look, but we were only allowed to fold laundry with supervision. our jobs consisted mostly of delivering the food trays and feeding really old people. we also refilled ice water and a few supplies in the rooms, and folded laundry. a lot of the elderly people love seeing kids and were very kind. i made friends with a lot of the girls i volunteered with, too. like you said, it's also good to have on your resume if you want to go into the health services. just make sure you show up on time, don't miss too many times (especially without letting them know), and be helpful, and you should get great reference letters. i know a high school girl who just got accepted into nursing school, and beat out dozens of other girls because she had volunteered over a hundred hours at our hospital. good luck, oh and i'm from canada, so i hope this info applies.

Need help for painful white gums right side of face?

I have swollen painful gums just on the right side of the lower molars. It started yesterday but today I woke up and the gums are white and swollen and look like canker sores! Could it be possible that I am pregnant?

My periods are always completely regular, aprox every 33days. I had my period May 15th. I had unprotected sex on May 27th and also again on June 4th. I am not trying to get pregnant, but it wouldn't be the end of the world if we were. I was expecting my period around the 18-19th. No period, took 4 preg since then and all came back negative. On june 22nd I had lower abdominal cramping, not really bad, but since then I've had a clear watery, almost ordorless discharge. I thought it was my period coming late, but alas, no bleeding, just clear watery stuff. My boobs aren't sore, but nipples are really sensitive. Also for a couple days now, i have had heartburn which I've never had a preoblem with. On wednesday night I woke up in the middle of the night chocking because of the heartburn. Today again, I have a bloating feeling like when u have to pee really bad. It's in my lower abdomen only. The last test I took was tuesday, it was a first response early detection one. I have no insurance to go to the doctor for a blood test or exam. I don't want to waste my time for them to just tell me the urine test was negative. I just don't know what to think. Need paediatric Dr help urgently!! My baby sick for 7 weeks already still no diagnosis yet!!!?

My baby(one and half year old son) has been sick for 7 weeks until now. I brought him to EMD and he had admitted for 2 weeks for unknown fever. His fever at the first week is 37.6 is max T (Temperature) then 2nd week T max is 37.7(he saw dr and gave amoxicillin for 3 days) and 3rd week T max is 37.9(as the fever didn't go down in 48 Hr of antibiotic, I brought him to EMD and dr changed to augmentin) the fever didn't go down also and he saw his paediatric dr and changed to another antibiotic which is not penicillin group. I gave it for one week and the fever is stll increasing. In 4th week T max is 38.5. He had fever everyday and it never went down to normal. After I noticed T max is 38.5, I brought him to EMD and got admitted. Firstly, dr said mostly likely viral like (EDV). EDV is negative after blood test. Dr also did blood test for autoimmune, antinuclear, SLE, CMV, FBC, LFT, blood culture, urine culture, PBF. Nil chest infection by chest x ray.Noted WBC is 20.45, lymphocyte is high (can't remember), monocytes is 1.4 and LDH is 1226, PBF show lymhpocytosis. Other than that the rest of the blood tests r normal.Because of prolong fever and FBC and LDH abnormal, oncology dr saw my baby. Oncology dr thought that fever may be because of leukaemia according to FBC, LDH and PBF result. Bone marrow aspiration doneand it shows normal. No acute leukaemia. Then dr suggest PET CT scan and flow cytometry to rule out inflammation and tumour inside the body and JMML. PET scan show normal and flowcytometry also normal. After two weeks staying in hospital, WBC, Lymphocyte and monocytes back to normal and he was discharge but he was still having fever at the time of discharge. He didn't has any antibiotic, only parecetamol for fever. The fever used to go up to 37.9 or 38 in the morning ( around 10 to 12) it went down to 37.7 for the whole evening. His fever only came down at night time while he is sleeping (T range from 37.1-37.3).Please help to diagnose for my baby. Thz

Pursue it. Yes it is a lot of science and yes there is a ton of memorization. However, it is much easier and more fun when you are doing it with something that you are really interested in. Besides if you decide that you do not like it you can always stop and switch to something else. It it better to try then to never try and regret it. So go for it! Also talking to people that are going into that field will help you decide also. They have the first hand knowledge of what to expect. But either way try it so you can make your own decision don't let others discourage you or scare you away from it because it is a lot of fun to learn about that stuff!!

General Anesthesia Question?

In a few week I'll be receiving a nerve block that is injected into my spinal cord. I was told that the pediatric anesthesia team will be in the operating room with me to keep me comfortable and that I will need 1-2 hours in the recovery room. They never told me but does this mean that I am receiving general anesthesia?

They see anyone, regardless of ins, in a fairly timely manor. (they also have a dentist there, btw- goes off of income if you don't have medicaid.)

Neck pain with shortness of breath.. What could this be?

My husband has been having this problem severely for about 2-3 weeks, though he has had minor episodes over the course of about 7 years. He is in the US Military and had been overseas in 2004, when he came back he started having chest pains and shortness of breath. Docs diagnosed him with PTSD and then put him on an anti-depressant medicine. He was not content with that being the cause of his problems, over the years he has stopped taking that medication. Lately his symptoms have seemed to worsen. He is having neck pain that is sore to the touch along with shortness of breath and chest pain. He can turn his neck from side to side, but has a hard time looking up and down without having breathing problems. He has gone to the ER twice. The first doctor just told him it was hyperventilation syndrome. We were definitely not content with that answer. The second doctor was much more sympathetic. He thought something had rotated or sprained or something within his neck that was causing all the breathing problems. So he has seen a series of doctors. We've done a thyroid test that came up with nothing. We've done X-Rays that there is definitely something wrong in his neck. Whether a disk has slipped, something shifted, or a pinched nerve. That dr. wanted to do an MRI. We got that done and when the results came back the nurse told us that it did seem like something is pinched. My husband asked her what we can do to fix this problem and he told her that they will probably just medicate him. That's where I am at a standstill. If there is really something pinched or if they know something is wrong in his neck, how can they just medicate him and expect that to fix it. If anybody has any opinions, they would be much appreciated. Thanks

They are very badly nourished and i think another one is about to die today..I took them to a vet and he told me there was not much to do but buy kitten formula from petco or any other pet store, or to make a homemade kitty formula for the kittens to take for the first day,and see how they react and then if they show positive signs to go ahead and buy the vitamized kitty formula from a pet store. He gave me the recipe to this home-made formula( 8oz homogenized milk,2 egg yolks,one teaspoon of salad oil and one drop liquid pediatric vitamins (optional). He told me to keep them in a very warm environment.To fix a basket with plenty of warm blankets etc..P.s They don't like it there.. And my female cat detests them and refuses to breast feed them,( I'm so sad i don't want the kittens to die)..But the vet does not give me much hope.He said it's like a 50/50 chance of survival. The kittens seem to stop crying when they sleep beside me or i cuddle them to sleep..So for now i'm basically not sleeping at all! i'm just watching over them since they are sleeping with me for now..I'm basically playing mother and they look so fragile,sweet,and innocent...Idk i just can't think of them perishing.It would give me a really bad input, as i'm trying really hard to save them... I had asked this question earlier and many people though I was getting surgery done which is why i need the nerve block. But I am only getting the nerve block so that the physical therapy can be done with minimal pain. Anyways. I was told that the pediatric anesthesia team will be in the operating room with me to keep me sedated and comfortable and that I will need 1-2 hours in the recovery room. They never told me but does this mean that I am receiving general anesthesia and will be totally out. Earlier the nurse told me that I would be awake and then recover for 20 min in the recovery room. but then the doctor came in and said I would be sedated and need 1-2 hours to recover and stuff about the pediatric anesthesia team but never what kind of anesthesia. Any ideas here?

Reoccurring pus on tonsil & sore throat?

This may be what is called tonsil stones. It is pretty gross. Food gets caught in your tonsils and then comes out as this smelly squishy thing. My doctor suggested using the back of the toothbrush and scraping upwards to push them out. Yuck! It is a very invasive way to deal with it, but I had my tonsils taken out. Happy not to have those random visitors.

What are the best physical therapy schools for pediatrics?

I know what the top schools are and that you learn about all areas in PT school, but are there any schools that have pediatric programs or research that really stand out?

Yes, people have become doctors and gotten families along the way. It's tough, but doable. It's best to marry someone who is very understanding and be flexible with your life goals. Maybe you'll only have 2 kids. Maybe you'll get married during residency. Who knows? Life takes unexpected turns sometimes.

What job career should I go into?

I love sports and was thinking about going into Sports Management because I really wanna work with the Professional league sports like hockey/baseball/ or football. I know that this is extremely competitive business to get into so that's why I'm nervous to go... All my friends are going for good paying jobs and I don't want to be left behind because of choosing this and getting stuck with like a manager of a high school team. Otherwise I was thinking about being something in being a pediatric nurse or something that's deals with babies. That's Altot of school I know so I'm nervous to do that and not end up happy.. but i know it makes tons of money. Ialsoo hated nursing assistant classes with elders. (no offense). Then I was thinking something in business marketing/management but that's a lot to! I'm Really undecided is all I'm saying....I would love a job that keeps me finacially happy. ( no computers or science stuff)

Sore around Episiotomy site?

Hello. For they last couple weeks, I have a really sore spot next to my episotomy site I had over 2 years ago. I have googled and webMD my symptoms. It pops up bartholin cyst. I have looked at images and that is not what is looks like. I have had some itching, So I thought it was yeast infection, I had purchased over the counter meds, the itching is gone, but its still really sore to wipe after using the bathroom. Which I thought maybe it was a hemorrhoid. I have also developed really, I mean really tender breasts, I have cramping in my lower abdomen mostly on the right side. Frequent and re-occuring headaches, along with cramping in lower back.. I know with these symptoms are signs of pregnancy, but my husband has vasectomy.. If you have any suggestions or have experienced any of what I'm talking about please help.. Thanks

My nephew is suffering from severe allurgy?

I'm a senior in high school and I need to start applying to colleges. As far as I know (I'm pre-med)....Specialized doctors don't usually have to work night shifts because areas like pediatrics, dermatology, etc... don't usually have life threatening emergencies. Most doctors working night shifts are usually in emergency medicine, or general practitioners, etc.

It would be acceptable. I would ask the hiring staff before if they allow a more unatural color of hair. I believe that it doesn't matter as long as it isn't an obnoxious blue, pink, purple etc. :)

It sounds like you have a chance of being pregnant, but obviously no body is going to be able to tell you for sure. Go get a test, they're not expensive. 1997 Explorer 4.0 SOHC idle noise?

I have a 1997 Ford Explorer, with the 4.0 SOHC engine. The vehicle is 4 wheel drive if any are wondering. After turning over at a cold start, the vehicles starts fine, it revs to about 1300rpm, then back down to idle at around 700-750, after idling for about 5-10 seconds, it drops to around 525-550, and it begins to sputter, i can give it gas, and after it's warm it stops. Heres another question, at its normal idle, the engine makes it's typical noises, but when putting it in drive (putting the engine under load), I get a clanking/rattling from the lower crankcase, just above the oil pan. This same vehicle has a new engine, as the old one's timing chain tensioners went out. I'm hoping a Ford Technician can give me some ideas on might be wrong, cause ripping the old engine apart was a PITA! It doesn't quite sound like they're bad yet, but perhaps the tensioner is warn? Or maybe its something in the lower end (main bearings), its definitely distinguished to the lower end of the engine. Any ideas?

One time while listening, it was a man and you could hear his different tones of voice as if he were speaking to a group of people. Another time it was a man and woman having some type of conversation. Another time the tone sounded like they may have been arguing. It's not scary to me, it fascinates me. I would just like to know what is being said and what/who is causing this. For the first time one night last week, I heard the voices of a man, woman and what sounded like a much older woman having a conversation and also for the first time I heard a whole sentence of what the man was saying. I should have written it down. Right now the only word I remember him saying was the word "history" or "historical." This happens on an average of 3-4 times a week.

Why can't I reach the notes I could 5 days ago when I sing?

I love to sing but I recently went away somewhere for 9 days where I didn't have any time or place to sing full out. When I got home, I spent about an hour singing and playing my guitar and I was amazed on how good I was sounding and how many notes I could reach. However, the next day, my throat was a little sore and when i tried singing i couldn't reach some notes that I know are in my range. Ever since then, I almost have to strain my voice to reach some notes and it feels like I have a lump in my throat when I sing and I always feel like yawning. Did I damage my voice by singing a lot when I got back? Or am I not doing something correctly? I need help because I have some things I have to sing for coming up.

Sores/lesions on the ear..something worse?

last month i developed an itchy small spot on the enterance of my ear that started as a small pimple, and clear fluid comes out when i its it. THen it started spreading , with one of these lesions going away and another one poping up, unitil it went to my earlobes, where it cleared up on its own. Now, the same thing is developing in my other ear, in the same place. Any idea what this is????

I find my job to be an insult to my intelligence. The flowery job description was nothing but fluff. I am perpetually bored, and when I do work, it's only to keep me busy. I worked hard to get my Electrical Engineering degree from a highly distinguished university. Yet, I could have done this job out of junior high. Needless to say, I am bitter. I think it comes more from the Boston fans who don't actually live in Boston and just root for all the city's teams. Sure, if you live in the city you might bump into people who like other teams. But to the rest of America, the whole New England sports thing just looks like a giant bandwagon movement where you root for the teams everyone else hates. Not sure why it doesn't happen in New York. The Jets and Mets are more like New Jersey/Long Island teams, all the loud wannabe New Yorkers root for them. Maybe the reason Boston has suck a big one-team-fits-all following is because all the loud obnoxious wannabe Bostonians only have one team in each sport to root for.

First of all, stop the throwing up. You are a slim, young man who should weigh about 120 - 130 lbs. At your age and height you are a little under weight. Eat properly and eat nourishing food. Many boys your age eat a lot and don't gain weight because they burn off the food by physical exercises. You have 5-6 years of growth left in your life. You might grow to your father's height or in between. Eat healthy and thrive. Incidentally, water weighs about 7 lbs per gallon. If you drink lots of water or fluid like milk your body will show it on the scale until the next morning. Take care and good luck.

I really want to run but I don't want injuries, any advice?

I used to run quite a bit (not in any real competitive way but) but I stopped about a year ago. I started it back up by running 3K every morning for the past week (run 5, rest 2, run 10, rest 2 etc.) and it's been pretty killer on my muscles. I stretch before and after for at least 10 minutes, I do a warm up and I eat the appropriate post-run and pre-run foods but they're still pretty achy. I notice that even if my muscles are sore in the morning but I push through my 3K anyway that they don't hurt as much after about 5 minutes and they only start to get sore an hour or so later. Anyways it's about 8:30pm over here and I really wanna go for a 30-40 minute run but I'm wondering if that might be over doing it seeing as my muscles are still adjusting and recovering?

Can I become a doctor even though I have epilepsy?

Throughout my entire life, I have been working daily in order to become a pediatric neurologist so that I could help children overcome epilepsy as I was helped by a pediatric neurologist. Sadly though, I grew up with Partial-Focal Epilepsy. I only have seizures once every few years though so I consider myself extremely lucky. Will I be able to practice medicine though? I would really like to know before I apply for medical school. I understand that I will not be able to become a surgeon, but I really want and have a passion for neurology that is indescribable.
