Nursing for a career?

I've been giving some thought as to what I wanna do as a career because I'm headed to college soon. I've been seriously considering nursing. Especially pediatric and neonatal nursing. I'm fascinated by medicine, do pretty well in science and math, and want a career where I can help people and really make a difference. But I've also been considering teaching. Can some nurses out there tell me what you do on a normal day? Do you like your job? Why did you decide to be a nurse? Stuff like that. Any nurses opinions or imput is greatly appreciated. Thank you!
